Personal Music Showcase
Here are a few miscellaneous music compositions that I'm particularly proud of. These songs are a result of my composition and music technology coursework (MUS 291-into to DAWs, MUS 448- composition), which included many hands-on projects working with Logic Pro and professional producing techniques. I took the opportunity to experiment with EQ, reverb, bitcrush, automation, and other effects while also leaning into my favorite genres: technological and ambient music.

Setup for a MUS 291 assignment! I captured raw recordings of my voice, reading one of my poems. I transferred the raw recordings from FL studio to Logic Pro, where I applied effects like bitcrush and reverb to get some pretty interesting sounds.
A track I composed for a potential game project. I wanted to create something that sounded both menacing and upbeat/positive. I incorporated tense chords, whimsical instruments, and motivational groove to create that sense of "I'm triumphantly embarking on a mission yet there's some kind of dread looming over me".
I imagine that two characters are having a conversation where one person finally learns something about the other, something that's been misunderstood for a long time. The dissonant, grainy section is completely on purpose; this was meant to symbolize the point where confusion melts away and gives into lush. flowing clarity.
I composed this track with the image of a flying boss fight in mind for a video game. I intended to create an expansive feel with the chord progression and airy supporting instruments. The listener feels like they are ascending, but there's an extra layer of tension letting us know that the player is fighting an enemy.
